Tolkien's book The Hobbit inspired many movies to made after it. There is the 1966 version, which is so inaccurate it hurts, the 1977 version which is pretty decent and has good art, and finally the newest version there is, the three-movie saga that was released in 2012, 2013, and 2014. One random fact is that in the newest movie version, Bilbo is played by Martin Freeman, who is Watson in Sherlock.
